Games

One game on the bench. It was the first thing I ever built on my own, it sat for five years, and now it's being rebuilt into something bigger.

Rhinovirus Prime, the first boss in Antigen Drift: a faceted green virus with a smug grin.

Antigen Drift

You are one T-cell. The body is the map.

You control a T-cell that chases your finger or cursor through the bloodstream, destroying viruses and collecting aminos. Die, and what you banked turns into Memory Cells, the permanent currency you spend back at the Marrow before diving in again.

There is no health bar. Touching a virus destroys it, so you win every single exchange, but each contact loads your infection meter a little more. You don't get killed by one hit. You get overwhelmed by volume, which is how it works in a body.

The main mode, Circulation, is a pocket metroidvania of connected vessel rooms running from the Bloodstream to the Heart. The gates come from real immunology:

  • Diapedesis: hold to squeeze through capillaries too narrow for you.
  • Rolling adhesion: ride the vessel wall against the current.
  • Escort: keep a macrophage alive long enough to break a fibrin blockage.

There's also an endless wave mode, the original game, where you defend a row of tissue cells and draft one of three upgrades after every stage.
