Iron Corvus

They jumped into the wrong century.

In 1985, a U.S. Special Forces team flying a covert Cold War mission near the Iron Curtain is pulled nearly 2,000 years into the past, mid-flight, and bails out over a battle between Rome and the Germanic tribes. The team is split, and half of them become Rome's prisoners. The rest have to rescue them with whatever they can salvage from the crashed aircraft.

The squad's weapons are overwhelming, but they run out. Rome has numbers and discipline, and it learns.

It's Germania, 16 AD: forest, marsh and rain along the Weser, seven years after Teutoburg, with Germanicus hunting Arminius. Seven Green Berets, call sign Raven, land in the middle of it.

Single-Wide

A person who never decides anything still ends up somewhere.

Broke and depressed after dropping out of college, and sick of his mom's nagging, a quiet, lonely 18-year-old moves into a friend's trailer near his temp factory job. A charismatic con man pulls him into a crew of young misfits whose wild nights slowly curdle into addiction, arrests and loss.

It runs from February 2010 into 2012, near the bottom of the recession, in a small West Michigan town where the plant closed and the work is a 45-minute drive away. The tone is deadpan and melancholy, funny in a bleak way. Strange things happen and nobody remarks on them. There is a deer.
